PRESIDENT’S INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT GRANT
International Services Office
Slippery Rock University
2010 Request for Proposals
Application Deadline, Wednesday, March 24, 2010
The President's International Development Grant provides financial support for the professional development of SRU faculty and professional staff in an international setting. Awards come from an endowed fund, and the number of awards per year are dependent upon the rate of return. Eligibility, criteria, requirements, and the application form are available by clicking the link below.
Please note the following changes effective February 2010:
As budgets become tighter than in recent years and accountability increases, the grant is transitioning over the 2010 and 2011 grant cycles.
For 2010, activities that clearly benefit SRU students will be given preference. The application form explicitly asks for this information.
For 2011, benefit to SRU students will no long be preferential but will instead be a required element for all grant recipients. We do realize that this may necessitate a change in the way that some individuals look at professional development, but we are confident that faculty and staff will welcome the opportunity to benefit themselves as well as our students.
We have moved to electronic submission as noted on both the RFP and the application form. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.
