LEWISBURG, Pa. – Senior Josh Buckley (Wyomissing/Wilson HS)scored 10 goals in three games to lead Slippery Rock University’s effort in last weekend’s Bucknell Open men’s water polo tournament.

The Rock defeated Gannon by a 12-9 score in opening-round action before losing to Bucknell 11-7 and Salem International 14-11.

SRU takes a 4-3 record into a Friday night (8 p.m.) match at Grove City College. The Rock then hosts Gannon at 9 p.m. Saturday before entertaining Salem International (10 a.m.) and Mercyhurst (2:30 p.m.) on Sunday in the Morrow Field House pool.

Ryan Holt and senior Derek Meyerson (Hatfield/West Penn HS) had five goals each, Chris Hokanson and sophomore Andrew Morrison (Homewood, IL/Homewood Flossmoor HS) three each, sophomore Aaron Chapple (Reading/Reading HS) two and senior Matt Cunningham (Coopersville, MI/Jenison HS)and senior Noah Randall (Milford, OH/Milford HS) one each.
